SiFive, Inc., a pioneer and leader in RISC-V computing , announced the launch of two new products designed to address new requirements for high-performance computing. SiFive Performance™ P870 and SiFive Intelligence Together, the two new products create a powerful combination of scalar and vector computing to address the needs of data streaming and compute-intensive artificial intelligence applications in consumer, automotive and infrastructure markets.
The company made the announcement at a live media and analyst event in Santa Clara. The company also provided an update on several product lines currently shipping processors to customers around the world. Company executives provide an in-depth analysis of SiFive’s product roadmap and discuss how the entire RISC-V ecosystem continues to rapidly expand as new applications create demand for high-performance computing solutions based on RISC-V.
Patrick Little, chairman, president and CEO of SiFive, said: “SiFive is leading the industry into a new era of high-performance RISC-V innovation and using our unparalleled product portfolio to close the gap with other instruction set architectures. And the recent Silicon Investment The chip also demonstrates the huge advantages of SiFive’s RISC-V solution. As the Arm IPO shows, demand for semiconductors is growing rapidly in many industries, especially processors for consumer and infrastructure markets. SiFive’s RISC-V The flexibility of V’s solutions allows companies to adapt to the unique computing needs of these market segments and leverage the generative AI landscape, where we are already seeing double-digit design wins and other cutting-edge applications.”

Ideal for high-performance consumer applications or for use with vector processors in data centers, the P870 core sets impressive new RISC-level standards in instruction set architecture availability, throughput, parallelism and memory bandwidth. V performance standards. Compared with the previous generation SiFive performance processor, P870 brings a 50% peak single-thread performance upgrade (specINT2k6). The P870 is a six-wide out-of-order core that is RVA 23 compliant and provides a shared cluster cache, supporting clusters of up to 32 cores. High execution throughput comes with a larger instruction set, more ALUs, and more branch units per cycle. The P870 is fully compatible with Google’s RISC-V platform requirements for Android. The P870 also offers other proven SiFive features:
- x 128b VALUES RVV
- Vector encryption and virtual machine monitor extensions
- IOMMUWAAIA
- Non-inclusive L3 cache
- Proven RISC-V WorldGuard security
