Co-Creator of Alexa Launches AI Mental Health App with Galvan

Galvan

How do you track and manage mental health? With an ever-increasing demand for mental health services, the need for helpful tools that go beyond physical fitness is higher than ever. The recent rise of AI may provide some relief. One such solution is an innovative tool that allows “AI wellness check ins” through a simple app on your phone.

“The release of Galvan is a significant step forward in the field of mental health and AI”

Galvan, which was released in the App Store and Play Store last month, uses AI to measure mental health conditions through a person’s vocal biomarkers. With a 20-second voice recording, the algorithm processes millions of data points in a person’s speech and shoots back results of their stress, mood, and energy levels.

This is made possible through Galvan’s partnership with Canary Speech, a group of voice-recognition and healthcare experts. Among the team is Jeff Adams, the founding manager of the Amazon Alexa speech group and author of 21 Amazon patents. Canary’s algorithms currently have seven issued patents and six pending.

With the Galvan App, individuals can leverage these algorithms to track mental health in real-time—and over time. This means that for the first time ever, you can receive immediate feedback and mental health support from objective data, identify potential triggers for mental health issues, and also receive personalized recommendations for self-care and wellness practices. The app has already proven very popular, with thousands of app downloads in the first few weeks and an average app rating of 4.9/5 stars.

The app is also designed to protect user privacy and security. All data collected is de-identified and stored securely in a HIPAA and SOC 2-compliant environment, ensuring that sensitive information is kept confidential. The Galvan Team has plans to add many more features to the app, including the ability to use it within families, which has been frequently requested by parents hoping to provide extra support for children experiencing mental health challenges.

“The release of Galvan is a significant step forward in the field of mental health and AI,” Adam Sharp, CEO of Galvan added. “It has the potential to revolutionize the way wellness is monitored and managed, making it more accessible and convenient for individuals to take ownership of their health.”
