Dean joins Aurora Payments’ executive leadership team to accelerate the growth of the company’s comprehensive, customizable suite of tech solutions designed specifically for small and medium businesses
Aurora Payments, a full-service payment solutions provider, announced the appointment of Derek Dean as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and Head of Commercial, responsible for leading and overseeing revenue and marketing. Dean brings over 25 years of experience in the technology and software sector and has a proven history of leading high-performing teams and driving substantial corporate transformation and revenue growth. He will report directly to Aurora Payments CEO, Brian Goudie.

Dean joins Aurora Payments from Syndigo, an enterprise SaaS data management company, where he served as President and Chief Revenue Officer. In this role, he led efforts to scale the commercial organization and accelerate the company’s revenue. Before Syndigo, he was Senior Vice President of Sales and Customer Success at Evercommerce, where he played a significant role in scaling the company and successfully integrating nine acquired businesses into one horizontal platform business, growing revenue by 60% over the course of two years. Dean began his career with the business analytics arm of Dutch conglomerate RELX, where he rapidly ascended to roles of increasing responsibility, including inside sales, enterprise sales, and account management, ultimately serving as a VP of Sales and P&L leader overseeing a team of 150.
