The partnership’s product innovation includes the recent launch of support for Databricks AI Functions within Informatica’s Native SQL ELT. This integration enables organizations to quickly adopt the GenAI capabilities of the Databricks Data Intelligence platform, empowering users to build no-code data pipelines. It ensures consistency, maintainability, and optimal performance of data pipelines running natively on Databricks, while enabling essential GenAI functions such as sentiment analysis, similarity matching, summary generation, translation, and grammar correction directly from SQL.
Furthermore, Informatica’s Native SQL ELT for Databricks introduces a powerful feature that allows data pipelines to be “pushed down” with more than 50 built-in transformations and 250+ native Databricks SQL functions, ensuring seamless and efficient execution within Databricks SQL. This functionality enables customers to design data pipeline flows directly in Databricks, utilizing Informatica’s robust no-code/low-code SQL ELT capabilities.
Late in 2024, Informatica unveiled its GenAI Blueprint for Databricks, along with additional enterprise-grade features such as support for Databricks’ Unity Catalog within IDMC. The IDMC platform also includes key features tailored for Databricks, including more than 300 data connectors, low-code/no-code data pipeline creation, data ingestion, replication, and GenAI-driven automation via Informatica’s CLAIRE GPT and CLAIRE Co-pilot.
Informatica was recently honored as Databricks’ 2024 Data Integration Partner of the Year at the Data + AI Summit. Over the years, Informatica and Databricks have worked closely to provide transformative data management and analytics solutions to numerous enterprise customers. Together, they continue to explore innovative ways to advance the development and management of GenAI and analytics workloads across their platforms.
