Accellix Names Dr. Félix A. Montero-Julian as VP, Scientific Affairs

Accellix, a global leader in rapid, point-of-need cytometry solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Félix A. Montero-Julian, PhD, as Vice President of Scientific Affairs. Bringing more than 30 years of international experience in scientific affairs, analytical development, and regulatory science, Dr. Montero-Julian will support Accellix’s strategic vision and innovation roadmap.

Dr. Montero-Julian joins Accellix from bioMérieux, where he most recently served as Scientific Director of Pharmaceutical Quality Control. He also served as Director of Cytometry R&D at bioMérieux and Director of Cell Analysis at Beckman Coulter, bringing a wealth of experience in biopharmaceuticals, industrial microbiology, and clinical diagnostics.

Dr. Montero-Julian holds a PhD and MSc in Immunology from Aix-Marseille II University, France, and an Engineering degree in Industrial Biochemistry from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Mexico. He has also completed management training to specialize in business development, quality systems, and regulatory affairs. A respected thought leader in the development and regulatory acceptance of analytical methods for advanced therapies and biomanufacturing, he is the author of over 60 scientific publications.

He will also help advance the company’s mission to make rapid, automated cytometry accessible and reliable for blood collection centers and cell therapy manufacturers.
