The rollout aligns with Neuroglee’s selection for the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation’s GUIDE (Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience) Model, a first-of-its-kind payer initiative to bring comprehensive value-based dementia care to Medicare beneficiaries. Neuroglee will be enrolling GUIDE-eligible patients across Mayo Clinic locations and other partner sites at no cost to the patient or family.
The average annual per-member cost to Medicare for patients with dementia is $22,000, almost three times the cost of members who do not have Alzheimer’s or another dementia.
