QuSecure launches QuProtect R3 for quantum-era cybersecurity

QuSecure Introduces QuProtect R3, Simplifying Encryption Modernization with Fully Integrated Post-Quantum Cryptography Platform

QuSecure Inc., the market leader in quantum-safe security, launched QuProtect R3, the industry’s first and only fully integrated, production-ready post-quantum cryptography (PQC) platform designed to make encryption modernization simple for everyone. For years security leaders have believed that preparing for PQC would take years, cost millions and require deep in-house expertise. QuSecure is proving that this is no longer the case.

With its Reconnaissance module, offered complimentary for qualified organizations, QuProtect R3 delivers instant visibility into vulnerable encryption across modern, legacy and cloud systems. This capability is unmatched by competitors. Security teams that previously spent months and allocated millions to compile a cryptographic bill of materials (CBOM) can now discover their encryption landscape in days, prioritize the highest risk systems and take action without disrupting operations.

Rebecca Krauthamer, co-founder and CEO of QuSecure, stated “Henry Ford, the man who popularized the automobile, famously said, ‘If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses.’ Orchestrated Crypto Agility is the automobile of secure communications. QuProtect R3 is that disruptive innovation that simplifies the perceived complexity of PQC and makes it something that takes days rather than years.”

She added that if an organization is migrating to PQC in the same way it has performed encryption migrations in the past, it is simply slogging along waiting for that faster horse and paying the price. “We strongly believe, and it is part of our values, that discovery and inventory should be a vehicle to help organizations migrate. We have seen too many organizations spend hundreds of thousands of dollars just to get paralyzed in the discovery phase.”

QuSecure pioneered orchestrated cryptographic agility and now has more crypto-agility deployments than any organization worldwide. The company’s customers include the U.S. Army and Air Force, key players in the telecommunications and energy sectors, leading financial institutions and global cloud services providers.

Rebecca Krauthamer emphasized the critical nature of addressing cryptographic debt even for organizations not yet ready to migrate to PQC, and stated that this is exactly what Reconnaissance delivers. Cryptographic debt is likened to using an old lock on a front door; as it weathers changes it becomes easier to pick and the longer it remains, the greater the risk.

QuSecure is also the first company to bring true crypto-agility to its clients. This refers to the ability to update encryption methods across enterprise networks dynamically without costly overhauls.

Dr. Anton Chuvakin, security advisor at Office of the CISO, Google Cloud, commented “There are so many varying views on how urgent post-quantum cryptography is, with different standards boards and organizations stating different dates for readiness; it’s truly hard to know when ‘Q-Day’ is really coming. However, what we do know is that a core facet of a more secure posture is ensuring your encryption and key management are up to date, and that happens to be the first step in preparing for PQC.”

He further said “Cryptographic debt, a term for the mass amounts of the unknown state of an encryption, does need to be addressed to protect from many types of threats breaches, ransomware and ultimately the arrival of quantum cryptography.”

In response to new mandates and accelerating deadlines for post-quantum encryption, including executive orders from the White House and standardization efforts from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), organizations have expressed concerns about cost, time, headcount and expertise. QuSecure’s QuProtect R3 addresses these concerns.

Rebecca Krauthamer added “The accelerated growth of quantum computing is a significant threat to enterprise security. To protect against this emerging threat, organizations need trusted partners, proven methodologies and innovative tools that can simplify the path to post-quantum security,” quoting Tom Patterson, emerging technology lead at Accenture Cybersecurity.

Accenture and QuSecure are helping enterprises leverage new NIST standards to meet today’s encryption challenges and secure their fast-evolving future.

QuProtect R3 is composed of three fully integrated modules:

  • Reconnaissance Module for continuous discovery and inventory. This module is available free to qualifying organizations. It provides a live, comprehensive inventory of cryptographic usage for data in transit and highlights out-of-policy or vulnerable algorithms.

  • Resilience Module for active mitigation. It strengthens enterprise networks, both modern and legacy, enabling crypto-agility across all systems without code changes or system downtime.

  • Reporting Module for real-time insights. It simplifies compliance by generating a CBOM with a single click, ensuring alignment with standards such as CNSA 2.0, CNSSP 15 and GDPR while maintaining transparency across cryptographic inventory.

QuProtect R3 reduces manual cryptographic auditing by simplifying the discovery and cataloging of cryptographic certificates, algorithms and protocols across enterprise networks and data centers. The platform also enhances risk management by providing visibility into the cryptographic practices of SaaS providers and cloud vendors via monitoring traffic at network gateways. Problematic configurations such as expiring certificates, unauthorized certificate authorities or weak encryption protocols are identified and remediated before they impact operations.

The platform’s standards-based approach allows organizations to replace weak algorithms, enforce encryption policies and prepare against both current AI-driven threats and the coming quantum era without replacing existing infrastructure or requiring deep cryptography expertise.

QuProtect R3’s Reconnaissance, Resilience and Reporting modules are available immediately through QuSecure and its partners. QuSecure offers a price-match guarantee for manual migration. The Reconnaissance module is provided free to qualifying organizations.
