Dawnguard and Invictus Incident Response Announce Strategic Partnership to Transform Cloud Security and Resilience

Dawnguard

Dawnguard and Invictus Incident Response have entered a strategic technology partnership aimed at establishing a comprehensive cloud resilience ecosystem that combines secure architecture design with proactive incident recovery and response capabilities.

The collaboration unites Dawnguard’s secure-by-design cloud architecture and AI-driven cybersecurity platform with Invictus’s specialized expertise in cloud incident readiness, forensic analysis, and response, delivering a continuous security model that supports the full cloud lifecycle—from design and deployment to real-world crisis readiness and recovery.

“Dawnguard was founded on the principle that security should be built into systems from day zero not bolted on as an afterthought,” said Mahdi Abdulrazak, CEO of Dawnguard. “Partnering with Invictus extends that philosophy into operations: we can now help customers build secure environments and ensure they are prepared to respond and recover when incidents occur. This collaboration closes critical gaps in cloud resilience and elevates how organizations approach risk.”

Key Joint Initiatives

Under the terms of the partnership, Dawnguard and Invictus will implement coordinated programs designed to strengthen customer cloud security posture and operational readiness:

  • Preferred Incident Response & Recovery Partner: Invictus will serve as Dawnguard’s designated incident response partner, with formalized referral and handoff procedures for rapid recovery across entire cloud estates.
  • Co-Branded Readiness and Response Playbooks: Both organizations will co-develop integrated readiness, response, and recovery controls embedded directly into the Dawnguard platform.
  • Enhanced Incident Readiness Offerings: Customers will gain access to tailored incident response planning, readiness packages, and ongoing retainer engagements facilitated by Invictus.
  • Joint Pilot Programs and Shared Insight Loops: Select customer pilots will help refine joint security solutions, share anonymized incident data, and enhance threat intelligence to inform future platform development.
  • Insurance and Audit Reporting Initiatives: Exploratory efforts will focus on incorporating cloud resilience metrics into cyber underwriting and audit reporting to support long-term assurance and risk mitigation.

“Cloud security cannot be static,” said Korstiaan Stam, CEO of Invictus Incident Response. “Resilience requires proactive readiness, rapid response, and the ability to recover with confidence. By combining our cloud-centric incident response capabilities with Dawnguard’s security-by-design platform, we can help organizations close the loop between secure development and real-world operational safety. This partnership is a natural evolution in how companies should defend, react, and adapt together.”

Advancing Holistic Cloud Security

Through integrating secure architecture best practices with incident response preparedness for recovery activities, the combination symbolizes a paradigm shift away from the conventional reactive approach for cloud protection towards a more unified approach based on resilience. All forms of cloud disruptions can thus be countered with greater efficiency by enterprises using a combined approach with resilience.
