AWS and Lumen Technologies have announced a new collaboration aimed at transforming how enterprises connect to the cloud. By integrating network infrastructure directly into cloud services, the partnership introduces AWS Interconnect – last mile, with Lumen as the first provider to deliver this capability through its Cloud Interconnect platform.

The new solution streamlines this process by enabling organizations to create secure, high-speed connections from offices, data centers, or remote sites to AWS in just a few clicks via the AWS Console and Lumen’s platform.

The integration combines AWS’s cloud capabilities with Lumen’s extensive network, which spans more than 340,000 route miles and connects a vast number of enterprise locations. This unified approach eliminates the need for multiple intermediaries, reduces manual setup, and allows businesses to scale bandwidth on demand, significantly accelerating deployment times.
