Cognizant has announced a deal to acquire Astreya, an IT services provider focused on AI. This will speed up Cognizant’s shift to becoming an AI builder. It will also boost its AI infrastructure skills. Astreya operates in over 35 countries and has strong ties with major cloud providers. It brings expertise in data center services, AI infrastructure, and managed workplace solutions. Cognizant’s AI OpsHub platform offers readiness assessment, analytics, and automation. This will boost its ability to deliver effective AI operations. This acquisition aligns with rising global investments in AI infrastructure and data centers.

Cognizant will better support its clients. It will help them design, build, and manage AI-driven systems. As CEO Ravi Kumar S noted, “By acquiring Astreya and its proprietary AI tooling and production-grade infrastructure platform, which is complementary to Cognizant’s AI builder stack, we will be even better-positioned to help clients architect their platform-led AI systems and operationalize them at scale,” highlighting the strategic importance of the deal.
