Per-Task Biometric Validation: Requires users to authorize specific credential requests via a single biometric prompt, completely eliminating persistent sessions or standing administrative access.
Isolated Injection Channels: Injects login details through a protected pipeline managed exclusively by the local 1Password extension, keeping secrets entirely out of Anthropic’s data servers.
Continuous Field Scrubbing: Scans web forms immediately following autofill executions and programmatically wipes sensitive inputs if a form submission fails, preventing data leakage.
Authenticated Multi-Site Brokerage: Handles cross-domain transitions within a single overarching project workflow, allowing the agent to complete multi-step tasks without repeatedly interrupting the user.
Cryptographic Vault Segmentation: Restricts the browser tool’s visibility to a tightly defined subset of login items, keeping the rest of the corporate password repository invisible.
Automated System Defense with Agentic Mode
Alongside the specialized Anthropic rollout, 1Password is deploying Agentic Mode globally across its broader user base. The moment an approved software agent assumes operational control of a browser tab, the password manager automatically restricts its interfaces.
