Global financial orchestration platform MassPay announced the launch of MassPay Validate, a standalone account verification engine designed to confirm bank account status and ownership before payment execution. Accessible as an independent product through a single API endpoint, the tool allows organizations to verify personal and business bank accounts globally without requiring them to process payout volumes through MassPay’s primary payment rails.
Failed electronic payouts continue to introduce hidden administrative costs, operational delays, and customer friction across cross-border payment ecosystems. Industry data indicates that approximately one in eight payout failures results from incorrect account data, entry typos, outdated banking records, or unauthorized modification of payment instructions. By verifying banking details prior to origination, enterprise finance teams can eliminate return fees, reduce manual reconciliation workloads, and prevent payment delays.
“Every failed payout has a person on the other end of it who did nothing wrong,” said Ran Grushkowsky, Co-Founder and CEO of MassPay. “They were told they were paid. They check, and the money isn’t there. We built validation to close that gap for our own payouts, and it works so well that keeping it to ourselves stopped making sense. Anyone originating a payment should be able to verify the account first.”

Real-Time Validation Telemetry and Regulatory Alignment
MassPay Validate executes real-time pre-send checks and returns actionable verification data, including overall account match status, account holder confirmation, name-matching confidence scores, and corridor-specific risk scoring. The API delivers immediate verification responses or pushes delayed updates automatically via webhooks.
Organizations integrate the solution across two key points in the payment lifecycle:
Vendor & Supplier Onboarding: Verifies newly submitted bank details during counterparty setup to prevent errors from persisting in ERP records prior to payment runs.
Pre-Origination Checks: Executes automated account validation immediately prior to payment initiation or whenever bank details are updated.
The rollout also supports compliance requirements across domestic and global payment networks, including Nacha’s WEB Debit mandate for U.S. Automated Clearing House (ACH) account validation.
Commercial Availability and Pay-for-Success Model
MassPay Validate operates on a pay-for-success pricing model with no minimum commitment requirements, charging fees exclusively for successful account validations. Unvalidated or unverified account attempts incur no service charges.
