OReilly

O’Reilly, the leading online learning platform for technology professionals, announced its newest live event, Deepfakes, AI, and the American Economy, taking place on Friday, September 27, from 12:30pm to 1:30pm ET.

Hosted by O’Reilly founder and CEO Tim O’Reilly and featuring LinkedIn cofounder Reid Hoffman as a special guest, the virtual event will explore the fascinating and controversial role of deepfakes within the broader context of AI advancements. Drawing on a recent groundbreaking experiment in which Hoffman’s digital twin was brought to life through deepfake technology, the event will give attendees a first-hand look at the process behind creating a digital twin and examine the potential of deepfakes for both good and bad. O’Reilly and Hoffman will discuss how, with proper regulation, deepfakes could significantly benefit the broader tech industry and US economy. The speakers will address the next level of AI possibilities, the risks and benefits of adopting deepfake technology, and the likely impact of AI on future learning and economic trends.
