Digital Twin Technology Drives Product Design Project with SoftServe and Valeo

SoftServe

SoftServe , an IT consulting and software development company, member of the NVIDIA Partner Network, announces that its partnership with Valeo , a global leader in mobility, has helped accelerate and optimize the product design process through digital twin technology.

Rapidly changing consumer demand is forcing automakers to reduce product development time. With precise digital replicas of Valeo’s wide range of automotive lighting products, SoftServe’s digital twin technology lays the foundation for a digital catalog of customizable lighting components.

Developed on NVIDIA Omniverse , a development platform for building and operating applications from Metaverse, the proof of concept and product enabled the creation of photorealistic duplicates of physical lighting products in virtual space. This solution enables customers to quickly and efficiently select, design and preview lighting systems.

“The digital twins that have been created and are running in Omniverse will allow us to consolidate our collaboration with our customers,” explains Cédric Merlin, Innovation Director for Visibility Systems at Valeo. “We are entering a new phase in our design process by creating a link between technical capabilities and style from the earliest stages.”

Virtual solutions and rapid prototyping significantly reduce time to market, giving Valeo automotive customers more time to explore different design styles.

“The powerful capabilities of NVIDIA Omniverse have enabled our software developers and automotive technology experts at Valeo to create faster and more efficient collaborative product design processes,” said Volodymyr Semenyshyn, president EMEA of SoftServe. “This is an innovative approach, and we believe that Valeo will lead the digital transformation of the automotive industry as part of our partnership on future projects.”

SoftServe’s remote collaboration, on-site quality assurance, and NVIDIA’s technology expertise have guided the development of the platform from its initial design and in-house demo to its public presentation in Las Vegas at CES 2023. In September, Valeo will present this solution with expanded functionalities at IAA Mobility 2023, in Munich.
