Docusign has just announced the launch of a breakthrough app for Slackbot, integrating its Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) platform straight into the most popular daily workplace communication channels. This integration powered by Docusign’s Iris AI engine, a proprietary technology, offers enterprise teams the capability of querying contract data, automating complex approval paths, and triggering agentic workflows using natural language prompts within Slack (a Salesforce company).
This release addresses one of the major pains of modern enterprise operations: the scattering of contract documents. The essential agreements that regulate sales legal procurement, and human resources are still stuck in disconnected systems and manual tracking methods, resulting in great losses of time, money, and operational velocity for companies.
Using Model Context Protocol (MCP) to securely connect Slackbot with Docusign IAM ecosystem, the app converts regular chat channels into productive hubs for contract signing, tightly controlled per the company’s permissions and security rules.
“Agreements are at the center of how businesses operate, but too much of the work around them still happens across disconnected tools and manual processes,” said Allan Thygesen, CEO of Docusign. “As we expand the Docusign ecosystem, we’re bringing our Intelligent Agreement Management platform to the places people already work. By bringing Docusign IAM into Slackbot, we’re helping teams access agreement intelligence, automate workflows, and take the next best action directly within the tool they use every day.”

Accelerating the Agreement Lifecycle in the Flow of Conversation
The Slack-native application removes the “context switching” that traditionally stalls transactional cycles. By parsing natural language, drawing on historical chat sequences, and cross-referencing connected CRM parameters, the tool allows cross-functional teams to manage the complete lifecycle of an agreement seamlessly:
Natural Language Agreement Querying: Allows employees to surface contracts instantly and uncover specific details regarding renewal deadlines, compliance risk exposures, and payment obligations.
Agentic Workflow Automation: Enables users to initiate, review, sign, and route complex multi-party document packages directly within an active messaging thread.
Sales Cycle Optimization: Accelerates transaction speeds by generating customized contracts from verified corporate templates using live, real-time Salesforce CRM data.
Bi-Directional System Synchronization: Maintains an accurate single source of truth across the enterprise by automatically writing active contract statuses and metadata directly back to Salesforce.
Proactive Commitment Guardrails: Sends automated, conversational alerts regarding upcoming expiration milestones, compliance requirements, and operational benchmarks.
“Slack is the interface for work, where people, agents, data, and apps come together in one place,” said Rob Seaman, EVP & GM, Slack. “With Docusign, joint customers will have rapid access to agentic contract workflows directly in Slack. It streamlines how agreements get done, and powers more effective collaboration across businesses.”
The newly engineered Docusign app for Slackbot is fully active and accessible today via the global Slack Marketplace in English. System integrators, corporate legal counsels, and sales operations directors can explore configuration frameworks, check API tool capabilities, and review enterprise implementation deployment architectures by visiting Docusign’s official digital platform.
