MediaTek announced the Dimensity 9300, its newest flagship chipset for mobile devices, with a unique All Big Core design. This unique configuration combines high performance with MediaTek’s industry-leading power efficiency to deliver unparalleled user experiences in gaming, video capture, and on-device generative AI processing.

MediaTek’s next-generation APU 790 AI processor is integrated into the Dimensity 9300 and is designed to significantly improve the performance and power efficiency of generative AI, resulting in faster, more secure edge computing.
The 790 APU doubles the performance of full and floating-point operations while reducing power consumption by 45%. Adapting the Transformer model for carrier acceleration, the APU 790’s processing speed is 8 times faster than the previous generation, enabling one-second imaging using Stable Diffusion.
MediaTek has developed INT4 mixed-precision quantization technology that, when combined with the company’s NeuroPilot hardware memory compression, can more efficiently utilize bandwidth and significantly reduce memory requirements for large AI models. The 790 APU supports NeuroPilot Fusion, which can continuously perform LoRA low-order adaptation and is capable of supporting large language models with parameters 1B , 7B and 13B , with scalability up to 33B .

As part of MediaTek’s rich AI ecosystem, Dimensity 9300 will support large, cutting-edge language models including Meta Llama 2, Baichuan 2, Baidu AI LLM and others. This helps developers quickly and efficiently deploy multimodal generative AI applications to provide users with generative AI experiences such as text, images, and music.
Powered by Arm’s latest top-tier GPU, the Immortalis-G720, the Dimensity 9300 powers mobile gaming experiences. The Dimensity 9300 offers an approximately 46% increase in GPU performance while maintaining the same level of power consumption as the Dimensity 9200.
Equally impressively, the Dimensity 9300 delivers a 40% reduction in GPU power consumption while maintaining the same level of performance over the previous generation chipset. This offers users a huge performance boost without compromising battery life.
By combining the chipset’s octa-core CPU design with MediaTek‘s second-generation hardware raytracing engine, smartphones with Dimensity 9300 will deliver console-level global illumination effects at 60 FPS, flowing smoothly. Additionally, this powerful chipset allows users to multitask seamlessly, so they can play games and stream video at the same time or watch another video while gaming.
The Dimensity 9300 redefines smartphone photography and video capture by combining a low-power AI-ISP and always-on HDR with up to 4K resolution at 60 frames per second (fps). The chipset also supports 4K Cinematic Mode at 30 fps with real-time bokeh tracking for professional bokeh quality enhancements, plus AI Noise Reduction (AI-NR) in 4K and AI processing in RAW format photos and videos.
