Amazon Web Services (AWS) certificeert LzLabs Software Defined Mainframe®

AWS

LzLabs announced that it has successfully completed the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Foundational Technical Review (FTR), a significant milestone that recognizes LzLabs Software Defined Mainframe as AWS Qualified Software.

This achievement highlights LzLabs’ commitment to providing secure, efficient and innovative solutions for customers’ mainframe application and data integration, modernization and migration to the cloud.

The AWS Foundational Technical Review (FTR) is a rigorous assessment process that evaluates software solutions against a set of standards for best practices in operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, and cost optimization.

“Achieving this certification proves that LzLabs is aligned with AWS’s high standards. It is a testament to the reliability and forward-thinking approach of the LzLabs Software Defined Mainframe® and our commitment to providing world-class legacy process modernization, integration and migration solutions to our customers,” said Roman Gerteis, Vice President of Development at LzLabs.

For example, combining LzLabs capabilities and AWS’s cloud platform, an international automotive manufacturer was able to gradually move mission-critical processes and applications from their legacy mainframe to the cloud-based LzLabs Software Defined Mainframe® (SDM). Challenges such as capacity limits, long processing times and a shrinking skill base drove this project. The solution involved modernizing application processing while keeping key business processes intact with the LzLabs SDM. The results were impressive: higher service levels, faster customer processing time, reduced operating costs and future-oriented readiness thanks to the scalability and elasticity of the modern cloud platform. The cost savings achieved were used to finance further modernization for better flexibility.

The LzLabs SDM is designed to liberate legacy mainframe applications and data and seamlessly integrate or migrate them to smoother cloud environments without requiring recompilation of COBOL, PL/I or Assembler applications or business process transformation. This allows organizations to innovate faster, reduce their operating costs and eliminate supplier lock-in.
