Mavenir and Turkcell accelerate innovation to market with new network automation services

Mavenir

Mavenir, the cloud-native network infrastructure provider shaping the future of networks, and Turkcell, the leading provider of converged telecommunications and technology services in Turkey, have entered a new phase in their long-standing Partnership announced to introduce Mavenir’s market-leading Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) automation to enhance Turkcell’s Voice over LTE services for its 20 million VoLTE subscribers.

Mavenir provides a CI/CD framework based on industry-leading open source components that seamlessly integrates into a customer-defined software delivery process using Mavenir open APIs. Mavenir’s CI/CD automation framework supports day one implementation and lifecycle management of Turkcell IMS network functions at scale across multiple clusters and different types of network functions (NF). The GIT-based software delivery model enables full version control with history and automatic traceability of current and previous deployments, upgrades and rollbacks with enhanced security and validation through the CD pipeline.

This automation reduces the time, cost and resources required to implement new software and introduce new features to the network, significantly reducing the time to deliver innovative new services to customers and increasing Turkcell’s competitive advantage.

The introduction of Mavenir’s CI/CD framework to the Turkcell network drives the software delivery process for rapid and regular automatic upgrades of Turkcell services, including VoLTE, Wi-Fi calling and SMS over IP (ToIP ). CI/CD leverages software lifecycle automation and introduces improvements to the network without impacting performance or degrading service levels.

Turkcell’s customers benefit from more stable network quality, reliability and efficiency, with automatic identification of potential network problems allowing Turkcell to resolve them more easily and quickly without impacting customers’ experiences.

Prof. Dr. Vehbi Çağrı Güngör, Chief Network Technologies Officer at Turkcell, said: “Network operations are becoming increasingly complex as release frequency and network integration increase. Implementing these changes in accordance with CI/CD best practices is essential for more sustainable network operations. Our partnership with Mavenir has catalyzed the life cycle management of IMS network functions and marked an important milestone in our network automation journey.”

Brandon Larson, SVP, Cloud, AI & IMS at Mavenir, said: “Turkcell Group and Mavenir have been working together for more than a decade, and Turkcell networks have many Mavenir solutions integrated into them. We are pleased to continue our partnership with to further delve into this new automation solution, which will further streamline Turkcell’s network operations, provide significant savings in operating costs and improve network quality for the company’s customers.
