Bentley Systems, Incorporated, an infrastructure engineering software company, announced that BP has announced that it will be partnering with Bentley’s AssetWise Asset Lifecycle Information Management (ALIM). Bentley announced that it has adopted AssetWise Reliability (AR), part of Bentley Infrastructure Cloud, to manage engineering information for projects and operations, enabling global asset integrity management.
In 2019, BP offered Bentley as its central information store (CIS) to maintain verified information needed for global projects and operations, including all documents, tags, associated metadata, and 3D model visualization. We chose Bentley to manage change in a controlled manner.
BP will now standardize AssetWise ALIM across all projects, production and manufacturing assets. AssetWise ALIM seamlessly migrates all critical information throughout the lifecycle, supporting more efficient capital project processes through to ongoing operations, supporting secure and reliable projects and operations.
AssetWise Reliability enables BP to optimize inspections, minimize maintenance costs, increase availability, and improve safety and risk management. BP initially implemented AssetWise Reliability at Clair Asset in the North Sea, with global rollout currently underway in eight regions.
