9Pay Partners with Visa to Enhance Cross-Border Digital Payments

9Pay

9Pay Joint Stock Company has announced a direct connection with Visa through the global payment management platform CyberSource. This strategic alignment positions 9Pay as one of the few payment intermediaries in Vietnam to support card infrastructure operating at international standards, acting as an enterprise-grade gateway for foreign Payment Service Providers (PSPs) and multinational corporations looking to scale within the Vietnamese digital economy.

The integration lowers local market entry barriers by enabling cross-border cash flow processing without requiring international merchants to establish domestic legal entities or acquire localized payment intermediary licenses. By routing transactions natively through CyberSource, the architecture removes unnecessary intermediary processing layers, reduces cart abandonment, and provides automated foreign exchange coordination alongside specialized foreign contractor tax compliance management. For end-users, this infrastructure facilitates seamless checkouts in Vietnamese Dong (VND) without hidden conversion fees, while actively supporting digital workflows across Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Click to Pay.

Highlighting how the partnership strengthens localized digital commerce infrastructure, Ms. Dung Dang, Visa Country Manager for Vietnam and Laos, stated: “As digital commerce continues to expand across borders, Visa is committed to working alongside partners in Vietnam to enhance payment acceptance capabilities, security, and transaction experiences in line with global standards. 9Pay’s direct connection with Visa through CyberSource marks an important step forward, helping strengthen Vietnam’s connectivity with the international payments ecosystem. We believe this collaboration will support businesses in reaching customers more effectively.”
