Elastic has officially completed the acquisition of Deductive AI, a platform that leverages AI to speed up investigation in root cause analysis and incident resolution for engineering teams. With the rapid advancement of technology, applications have become more complex and engineers have difficulty in going through vast amounts of telemetry data manually. Deductive AI is solving this problem by supplying an AI SRE agent which comes up with and checks the hypotheses on the code, telemetry and organisational knowledge through reinforcement learning that helps it keep improving future investigations. The company is going to be combining these new capabilities into Elastic Observability, so that they can eliminate the manual steps involved in a production incident and much shorten resolution times.
