Lyra Health

Lyra Health, the leading provider of innovative Workforce Mental Health solutions for employers and health plans, is pleased to announce that Jennifer Schulz is joining the company as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors, effective January 13, 2025. Schulz succeeds Lyra’s co-founder David Ebersman, who will transition to the role of Chairman of the Board.

Schulz brings extensive public company leadership experience to Lyra, having scaled operations at Experian, a global data, software and analytics leader with a market capitalization of $44 billion. As CEO of Experian North America, she led a $4.5 billion business with 8,000 employees, driving consistent growth and operational excellence while putting clients first. Her work included leading Experian Health which serves over 60% of US hospitals. Schulz has a deep alignment with Lyra’s mission, and she is known as a strong, strategic, and empathetic leader, bringing a proven track record of fostering a purpose-oriented, high-performing culture. She was the global lead for Women in Experian and sits on the board of Bright Horizons.

“We are so excited for Jennifer to lead Lyra Health’s next chapter,” said David Ebersman. “The past decade at Lyra has been the highlight of my career. I am proud of the impact we are making and the team we have built. However, my family is grieving the recent death of one of my sons, and it is time for me to step back into a more limited role. I am confident Jennifer’s talents and experiences will enable Lyra to achieve new successes beyond what we previously imagined.”

In his new role as Chairman, Ebersman will remain active at Lyra, continuing to support customers and culture, as well as ensuring a seamless transition by being a thought partner to Schulz on strategic imperatives for the company.

“Mental health is one of the defining challenges of our time,” said Jennifer Schulz, Lyra’s new CEO. “I cannot think of a better mission than expanding access to the highest quality care for more people around the world and across more needs and clinical conditions. Lyra will continue to prioritize care quality and client outcomes as our north star.”

Lyra serves leading employers including Starbucks, Morgan Stanley, Salesforce, and Genentech, supporting more than 17 million members globally. The company has delivered more than 10 million sessions of mental health care, published 17 peer-reviewed studies, and delivered unmatched outcomes in terms of access, clinical effectiveness and cost efficiency.

Under Schulz’s leadership, Lyra will continue to grow, building on its strong foundation, expanding access to evidence-based mental health services and advancing the use of innovative technologies.
