Charter Communications Strengthens Innovation with Strategic Generative AI Partnership with AWS

Charter Communications, Inc. announced a major strategic collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), marking AWS as one of Charter’s core generative AI (GenAI) partners. This agreement aims to substantially elevate Charter’s software development processes and operational efficiency through cutting-edge AI capabilities.

As part of the alliance, Charter has standardized its development workflows by adopting GitLab Duo integrated with Amazon Q Developer, AWS’s powerful generative AI assistant built for building, running, and transforming software development. The combined platform delivers agentic coding experiences and robust management of data and AI/ML workloads.

By leveraging GitLab Duo with Amazon Q Developer, Charter expects to accelerate feature releases and innovate faster directly improving the experience for its Spectrum Internet, TV, and Mobile customers.

Beyond software development, the collaboration also includes deploying agentic AI across Charter’s operational functions. These initiatives are designed to elevate efficiency, reliability, and connectivity for both its residential and business Spectrum customers, as well as its internal teams.
