Oticon Medical has unveiled its Ponto Instant line of non-surgical bone conduction hearing devices, which gives users and hearing care providers more choices in wearing the innovative product.
Oticon has added new devices to the line of products, which already features Softband 5. There are two products that were included in the portfolio of devices namely Instant HearBand and Instant SoundConnector. They are geared towards both children and adults looking for an alternative to surgery in hearing devices.
One of the devices from Oticon, the Instant HearBand is a light-weight behind-the-head wearing solution, which is considered more discreet compared to a traditional softband device. With various size options available ranging from small to large, the device comes with a variety of customization options through different colors of ear hooks and front tips.
Another non-surgical device released by Oticon Medical is the Instant SoundConnector. This compact device will be used by users as a means to attach Ponto sound processors to caps or other headware.

The company noted that Softband 5 and Instant HearBand remain the recommended solutions for users seeking a full non-surgical hearing experience without implant procedures. Both are compatible with Ponto 5 Mini and Ponto 5 SuperPower sound processors. The higher-powered Ponto 5 SuperPower model is particularly useful during trial periods because it helps compensate for sound attenuation through the skin and can better simulate the experience of an implanted device.
