Wolters Kluwer Health has collaborated with Epic in providing an integrated solution that includes clinical content offerings such as UpToDate Lexidrug® , Medi-Span® and UpToDate Patient Education for U.S.-based constrained-resource healthcare organizations such as rural hospitals, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), indigenous healthcare organizations, and small ambulatory care centers. The aim of the collaborative solution is to provide seamless integration by enabling Epic customers to have direct access to clinically-proven drug information and patient engagement tools within a single cost center. By leveraging proven compatibility within Epic electronic health record environments, participating health systems can bypass lengthy testing and validation cycles, thereby minimizing demands on internal IT and clinical informatics teams.
