Acumatica, a cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) provider for small and midsize businesses, has appointed Jason (JJ) James as Chief Information Officer (CIO). In his new role, James joins Acumatica’s executive committee and will lead the company’s global IT organization, focusing on expanding software infrastructure, cybersecurity frameworks, and internal operational technology.
James brings over 25 years of technology leadership experience spanning publicly traded and private equity-backed enterprises. He joins Bellevue-based Acumatica from Aptos Retail, where he served as CIO overseeing multi-cloud SaaS platforms across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. He previously held CIO positions at Net Health and Optima Healthcare Solutions, where he led cloud modernization, cybersecurity compliance, and M&A technology integration.
Acumatica provides cloud-based business management software covering financial management, supply chain, CRM, and inventory control. As cloud ERP adoption expands among mid-market enterprises, internal IT governance and AI deployment remain critical operational priorities.
