Rubrik has expanded Project Hourglass, its partner alliance focused on securing enterprise AI adoption, by introducing Rubrik Code Guardian, a code security solution powered by Anthropic’s Claude Mythos 5, and adding AHEAD, Trace3, and World Wide Technology (WWT) as new partners. The initiative builds on Rubrik Agent Cloud, extending the alliance’s capabilities from securing AI agents during execution to proactively identifying vulnerabilities in software code before deployment. The Rubrik Code Guardian scans a secure and air-gapped copy of a customer’s codebase in order to find multi-step attacks which regular security solutions might miss. It performs analysis of connections between files, services, identity permissions, and cloud environment; checks if possible vulnerabilities can be exploited; and ranks vulnerabilities by their business importance. The goal of this process is to allow security and engineering teams to concentrate on real threats while avoiding testing the live environment.

Moreover, this solution contributes to a wider goal of Rubrik to allow development of AI-driven software in a secure way. The expanded Project Hourglass ecosystem now includes AHEAD, Trace3, WWT, Cognizant, Deloitte, LTM, HCLTech, NTT DATA, and Wipro, giving enterprises access to implementation expertise, technical support, and joint deployment capabilities. “Engineering teams are turning to AI models to accelerate software delivery, but speed cannot compromise security or architectural integrity,” said Alok Agrawal, Chief Solutions Officer, Rubrik. “By incorporating Rubrik Code Guardian into Project Hourglass, we are ensuring engineering teams are able to conduct red-team analysis, prioritize business impact and reduce risk.” Rubrik Code Guardian is currently available in private preview to selected design partners. The launch reflects growing demand for integrated cybersecurity approaches that combine AI governance, vulnerability detection, and recovery capabilities as organizations scale agentic AI and AI-driven software development.
