Small business accounting platform, Xero has announced a deepening strategic alliance with Google Cloud to deliver in-stream accounting intelligence to Google Gemini.
This feature allows SMBs, advisors, and bookkeepers to query live financial data, visualize cash flow trends and generate reports, all within their everyday Google Workspace by asking questions in natural language.
Connecting Accounting Intelligence with Everyday Productivity Tools
Business owners and finance teams toggle between apps to verify cash balances, track invoice status and create projections. The back-and-forth among apps contributes to daily operational friction and adds an administrative burden.

The connector uses a connector built to connect Xero’s cloud accounting engine to the vast generative AI ecosystem of Google Gemini bringing users the ability to surface relevant financial data natively inside Google Workspace products such as Google Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Sheets, without the need to export files or switch to dashboards.
