FUJIFILM Sonosite presents its latest POCUS system Sonosite ST

FUJIFILM Sonosite

FUJIFILM Sonosite, Inc- The world’s leading manufacturer of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) systems expands its industry-leading portfolio with the Sonosite ST system. Designed with the busy clinician in mind, it features a 21″ touchscreen user interface, 10×7.5″ image area, automatic settings optimization for each exam type, automatic needle profiling (SNP) and more. To enable compatibility between multiple systems, the Sonosite LX and Sonosite PX sonic probes can also be used on the Sonosite ST.

“We are the company that invented POCUS, and as such we have been partnering with our medical customers for 25 years to innovate and advance the use of ultrasound at the bedside,” said Rich Fabian, President and CEO of FUJIFILM Sonosite. “Once again, this collaboration has resulted in the development of a system adapted to the needs of general practitioners. It saves time, increases decision-making confidence and improves treatment outcomes.”

“Due to the unprecedented shortage of clinical staff, we believe Sonosite ST can improve the hospital experience for both physicians and patients, while increasing patient throughput,” said Fabian. “I am confident that Sonosite ST will be widely used in the clinical intervention industry,” added Fabian.

Sonosite ST offers optimized exam types for the most common POCUS-guided procedures, including performing nerve blocks in regional anesthesia, vascular access in emergency medicine, and joint injections in musculoskeletal treatments. This enables clinicians to select the appropriate exam type for the appropriate procedure with a single push of a button, while having the most common tweaks, comments and calipers available to simplify their workflow.

“For me, the added value of POCUS in my treatments is clear and I am thrilled that it is becoming the standard for needle procedures in many medical specialties, such as anesthesia, vascular access, MSK and beyond,” says anesthetist Dr. David Auyong. “I’m excited about the new Sonosite ST from Fujifilm. The system prioritizes optimization of and access to key exam types, delivers incredibly clear images and will once again underscore the value of POCUS-guided procedures.”

As with all other FUJIFILM Sonosite POCUS systems, Sonosite ST meets proven standards for robust durability, reliability and ease of use. The ultrasonic probes were subjected to drop tests from a height of up to one meter. The work surface is sealed to the edge, allowing for easy cleaning and disinfection. FUJIFILM Sonosite also offers an industry-leading 5-year warranty, which lowers the total cost of ownership.
