GitLab Expands AWS Integration to Power Agentic DevSecOps with Amazon Bedrock

GitLab

GitLab has released an announcement regarding the enhanced partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS), making it possible for companies to utilize the Duo Agent Platform with Amazon Bedrock models available in their own AWS setups. The partnership will facilitate the ability for businesses to run AI inference via models that they have already installed in their AWS systems, taking advantage of existing IAM permissions and purchasing commitments without having to onboard any new vendors. This makes the process easier to adopt while still providing governance, audit, and security when AI agents become the force behind code generation, pipelines, and development processes.

The integration also builds on GitLab’s Bring Your Own Model (BYOM) capability, allowing self-managed customers to connect directly to Amazon Bedrock while keeping source code and inference traffic within their network boundaries. GitLab credits bought from AWS Marketplace are also added to their AWS spending, thus simplifying scaling up the AI efforts for them. In conclusion, this collaboration will help organizations leverage DevSecOps through agency, efficiency, and compliance.
