IQM Quantum Computers has announced a strategic asset acquisition comprising the proprietary software, algorithms, and intellectual property of Berlin-based Quantistry GmbH. The transaction occurred concurrently with the finalization of IQM’s business combination with Real Asset Acquisition Corp. (RAAQ), establishing IQM as the first publicly listed quantum computing enterprise from Europe.
The asset integration addresses a critical gap between raw superconducting hardware and domain-specific industrial workflows across the automotive, aerospace, chemical, materials science, and pharmaceutical sectors. Quantistry’s cloud-native simulation platform features an intelligent machine learning and AI abstraction layer that automates the construction of molecular compounds. This framework eliminates the need for deep quantum expertise by automatically routing highly complex data workloads across classical high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructures, native AI environments, and quantum backends. By onboarding Quantistry’s core quantum chemistry engineering team, IQM will deliver an end-to-end, full-stack applications environment that allows industrial R&D teams to build scalable proofs-of-concept without changing platform ecosystems.

Highlighting how the alignment builds functional value over basic raw processing power, Jan Goetz, CEO and Co-Founder of IQM Quantum Computers, stated: “True commercialization of quantum computing requires more than powerful hardware. It requires a bridge between hardware, software, and real industrial applications. The acquisition of Quantistry’s software assets builds that bridge. It accelerates our software development timeline in a capital-efficient way, and brings in a technical team whose expertise will help us deliver cloud-accessible simulation value to enterprise customers.”
Underscoring the accelerated time-to-market achieved by merging cloud-native analytics with hardware infrastructure, Dr. Marcel Quennet, Co-Founder and CEO of Quantistry, concluded: “Joining forces with IQM Quantum Computers represents a monumental next chapter for our technology and the industry. IQM’s world-class quantum hardware infrastructure and deep institutional trust provide the ultimate launchpad to scale our simulation platform. Together, we will enable R&D teams to model complex molecular and physical properties with unprecedented speed, moving from theoretical simulation to market-ready material innovation faster than ever before.”
