Anugal Integrates AI-Driven Identity Governance Into Microsoft Teams

Anugal

Anugal has rolled out a new Microsoft Teams integration that is intended to help streamline and speed up enterprise identity governance processes. The platform, dubbed Anugal IsAI, provides a conversation-based interface that lets companies handle access requests, approvals, certifications, and risk assessments all within the collaboration tool their employees use regularly.

The product was developed by Business Core Solutions and is meant to replace the outdated way of managing enterprise access that includes separate portals, tickets, and risk assessment tools. As companies become more reliant on collaboration platforms, the need arises to bring the governance processes closer to the actual workflows.

With Anugal IsAI, users can submit system access requests via natural language in Microsoft Teams, and managers and security professionals will be able to get recommendations from an AI as well as context regarding risk before granting or declining access. Compliance professionals will also be able to do certifications and record audit evidence straight from the workflow.

“The future of identity governance is not another approval screen. It is governed decision-making at the point of work,” said Vignesh Ganesan, Head of Product, Anugal. “Anugal IsAI brings policy, risk, context, and auditability into the environment where access decisions are already being discussed and acted on.”

The platform introduces three operational modes to support varying levels of governance automation. Advisory mode provides risk analysis and remediation suggestions, while assisted mode evaluates requests against existing policies and prepares recommendations for human review. Controlled automation mode enables predefined low-risk actions such as provisioning access or revoking permissions to be completed automatically while maintaining full audit trails.

Anugal’s broader identity governance platform supports enterprise applications including SAP, Oracle, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, cloud platforms, and other SaaS environments. The firm indicated that the new Teams integration is an element of a bigger plan to integrate identity governance in collaboration systems that employees and managers are already familiar with.

While the current launch is targeted at Microsoft Teams, the firm indicated that in the coming future, the firm will expand its collaboration capabilities to other collaboration tools such as Slack and Google Workspace.

The launch comes amid increasing demand by enterprises for fast, context-based, and audit-ready identity governance in the wake of increasing complexity of the enterprise environment.
