Alaska Communications announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Courtland Madock as President and CEO, effective September 1, 2026.

Madock succeeds Paul Fenaroli who is stepping down as President and CEO in August to focus on his family. Fenaroli will remain with the company through a period to support a smooth transition.

Madock brings more than 18 years of experience in broadband and telecommunications, including senior leadership roles at WOW!, Brightspeed, and U.S. Cellular. She has led large teams, launched new products and brands, and enhanced the end-to-end customer experience while driving growth. Her leadership is grounded in aligning teams around a clear strategic vision, using data to guide decision-making, and delivering for customers.

I look forward to listening, learning, and working together to continue delivering reliable connectivity for Alaskans.”

Khoury concluded, “On behalf of the board, I want to thank Paul for his leadership and the significant contributions he made strengthening connectivity across Alaska during his tenure. We extend our best wishes to him and his family during this difficult time.”
