Pinterest has appointed former Amazon finance executive James Dibbo as Chief Financial Officer, effective October 26, 2026. Dibbo will report directly to Pinterest Chief Executive Officer Bill Ready and oversee the company’s global finance operations, including strategic FP&A, accounting, corporate development, investor relations, treasury, and tax.
Dibbo joins the San Francisco-based visual search and social commerce platform after a decade at Amazon, where he most recently served as Vice President and CFO for Global Entertainment, Advertising, and Corporate Development. In that capacity, he led financial management across Amazon Ads, Prime Video, Amazon MGM Studios, Music, Audible, and Twitch. His tenure at Amazon also included roles as CFO of Worldwide Consumer and CFO of North America Consumer, driving operational scaling and margin management across global consumer units.
Before Amazon, Dibbo served as CFO of restaurant chain P.F. Chang’s and held senior finance leadership positions at international telecommunications and retail firms Tesco and BT Group. He began his career at PwC in London, holds a B.S. in Economics from Cardiff University, and is a Chartered Accountant (FCA).

Dibbo succeeds Julia Brau Donnelly, who steps down on October 26, 2026, and will serve in an advisory capacity through October 30 to facilitate the transition. The appointment comes as Pinterest expands its visual search, algorithmic ad platform, and shoppable content infrastructure for global enterprise advertisers.
